I need to hire a developer, but don't know where to begin.
I'm not technical. How will I know if the developer is cutting corners?
I've been burned by hiring developers in the past who couldn't deliver as promised.
My name is Shaun Overton and my goal is to provide you the benefits of an in-house developer, without the risks associated with hiring one.
An instant team
The most important decision that a business leader makes is "Who gets to play on my team?" Engineer ROI comes with a CTO and programmers that are 1) outstanding with their technical skills and 2) team players. Engineer ROI has already made the critical hiring decisions to ensure that Engineer ROI plugs into your company smoothly and easily.
100% ownership of code and IP
Hiring a US based company insures that your project falls under US law. Software development falls under the legal framework known as "Work For Hire". Your business retains total ownership over all of the source code, software and intellectual property associated with Engineer ROI's work for you.
No time commitments
Hire us for as long or as little as you like.
Add to your development team as needed - without hiring
Working on multiple projects means that Engineer ROI has a deep pool of talent to bring into and out of your project as needed.
Common programming technologies & industry standard tools
A common mistake in software engineering is allowing the programmers to use the tools that they're used to. But what if those tools are uncommon? All tools and programming languages used in your project need to be widespread and well known. Said another way, it's our job to make sure that you can easily replace us.

Bringing us into the project means you get outstanding talent on demand. Team culture is already in place. Best practices are routinely implemented. Who in your organization would be able to foster those types of attributes? If you're not sure, then we're probably your best solution.
0 months. We are a no-commitment solution. Bring us on board whenever you like. Let us go whenever you want.
Your project will eventually wind down. And, I guarantee that at some point in the future, your project will face an urgent question that can only be answered by someone intimately familiar with your project. At that point, you are no longer the primary source of income for the freelancer. More than likely, he is working full time on someone else's project. What are the chances that he'll be able to drop everything to attend to your urgent problem? They're very low.
Working with me means that we can shuffle developers across projects to ensure that you get attention when it's urgently required... even if our relationship is coming to a close.
We strongly prefer face-to-face relationships. There is something about in-person interaction that cannot be replicated over Skype or over the phone. They also seem to reduce the frequency of miscommunication.
That said, about half of our projects are fully remote. We speak with those customers every day even though we've never met in person. They stick with us because we are very, very good at this.
We charge on a pay-for-time model. We do this because the overwhelming source of problems in a project is communication. It's my experience that when customers pay for poor communication on their end, the communication gets better very quickly. They're also far more likely to appreciate and participate in otherwise dull tasks like building project specifications when they see how much smoother development goes.
Pricing reflects the size of the project; bigger projects pay reduced hourly rates. You will need to contact us to receive a quote.

Everybody that I work with is in your shoes. If you were an expert in software development, then you wouldn't need to talk to me.
I love taking over projects. They're my absolute favorite.
Why? Because the customer fully appreciates the quality of my team's work when he/she has something to compare us to. I don't work for a pat on the back, but it's always rewarding to hear in my customers' voices how much they appreciate working with a top notch team.
